Major Taiwan IC designers including Domintech, Solid State System, Prolific Technology, and PixArt Imaging have entered the MEMS market; top global MEMS contract manufacturers including APM, TSMC, and TMT have solidified their leadership in the industry; and contract test and packaging companies including ASE, KYEC, Lingsen Precision Industries, and Sigurd have also developed a strong position in the MEMS marketplace. According to Yole Développement, forecasted the MEMS market will reach US$19.6 billion in 2016, with shipments totaling 15.8 billion.
