 Theme:

Synergies and Opportunities in Semiconductor and Information Technology for Smart MedTech

 Forum Chairman:TBD

 Forum Moderator:

Dr. Morris, Ming-Dou Ker, Professor and Director, Biomedical Electronics Translational Research Center (BETRC), National Chiao-Tung University (NCTU)

 Forum Outline:

The foundation of smart medtech is built on intelligent, low-power, wirelessly connected medical devices.

These devices continuously measure, process, capture and protect the biometric data collected by sensors. The recorded information is then wirelessly transferred to the cloud for personal and professional analysis.

With the cross industry engagement trend becomes clear, medical device companies, healthcare companies, and technology companies are among the array of new and established firms capitalizing on emerging technologies in healthcare solutions, including sensors, artificial intelligence, mhealth, bioinformatics, data analytics, and advanced software. Smart, connected medical devices result in better patient outcomes and improved healthcare decision-making, apart from the highly efficient diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of patient conditions.

The forum will explore the trend of smart medtech development and the synergy of semiconductor and IT.
