Smart Workforce Pavilion

Wednesday, September 05
10:00am to 4:00pm

The all new 「Smart Workforce Pavilion」 welcomes all leading companies to join us and help cultivate a more competitive talent pool!

As IoT, AR and AI continue to evolve, the semiconductor industry can no longer count on a singular source of income. While companies are growing rapidly, talent gap is emerging as an issue as over 10,000 posts around the world are still vacant. Moreover, as talent poaching by other countries becomes common, both governments and enterprises should focus more on the issue of talent retaining in the semiconductor industry. Only by keeping the best talent at home and attracting foreign professionals can Taiwan sustain its place in the competitive semiconductor industry.

For the past 17 years, the SEMI Foundation has collaborated with members around the world on High Tech U (High Tech University), a program that utilizes students’ science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills through interactive, hands-on activities to increase their interest in the semiconductor industry. In order to create a more competitive talent pool for the global semiconductor industry, the program also aims to promote career awareness in the areas of semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing. Thus SEMI has recently developed a talent incubation plan to help SEMI members around the world build and maintain access to more talent.

SEMICON Taiwan is one of the largest events of its kind, attracting more than 45,000 visitors annually. For the first time in the exhibition’s history, the Smart Workforce Pavilion will be added as we welcome all leading companies to collaborate on talent retention and incubation through a platform designed to help companies connect and interact with talent in the industry!

• Companies that emphasize employee value and want to attract top talent

• Companies that want to take the lead in human resource development and continue to improve competitiveness in the industry

• Companies that seek to demonstrate leadership in talent incubation
