The SEMI EHS Division is pleased to announce a free half-day EHS workshop specifically targeted to PV and FPD manufacturers located in Asia. The workshop will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in conjunction with SEMICON Taiwan.

This workshop is intended for personnel at PV and FPD manufacturing sites that have responsibilities in the areas of: environmental protection; worker safety & health; process tool installation; process tool maintenance; specialty gas and chemical delivery systems; building engineering; facilities; risk management; and insurance.

The half-day EHS workshop will include presentations on:

• Silane Safety
• Emissions Abatement Safety and Environmental Controls
• PV Tool and Facility Safety Considerations
• Process Tool Installation and Start-up Safety Procedures and Checklists
• Application of FM Global Property Loss Prevention Standards for PV and FPD Manufacturing Facilities

An information sharing and EHS issues discussion session will follow the presentations. The workshop will be conducted in English.

There is no fee for this workshop. SEMI believes it is important to initiate a forum for PV and FPD manufacturing personnel to come together and discuss environmental, safety and health issues and solutions.
