  • We believe high-performance computing will replace smartphones as foundry's main growth driver by 2019

  • HPC semiconductor chips are used in data center servers, storage and networking infrastructure. Unlike mobile computing, which is focused on power consumption, HPC chips are more concerned with performance. Given the acceleration of new technology trends, such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics and cloud services, we expect strong demand for leading-edge foundry services for HPC

  • We estimate the foundry addressable market size  of HPC was around US$5 billion in 2016, and possible to reach US$15 billion in 2020.
