Dr. Luc Van den hove

Luc Van den hove has served as President and CEO of imec since 2009, leading the world’s largest semiconductor industry partnership to address the challenges of transistor scaling. He actively promotes the application of semiconductor technologies in precision medicine and preventive healthcare. In 2016, he facilitated the merger between imec and ICT research center iMinds, integrating strengths in AI and cybersecurity to advance sustainable innovations in smart health, mobility, energy, and more. He is also a key driver behind the imec.xpand venture fund, a professor at KU Leuven, a member of ASML’s Technology Strategy Committee, and sits on multiple corporate boards. With over 150 publications, he is a prominent voice in the global nanoelectronics community.
