Mr. Boon Keng (BK) LOK

BK serves as Senior Manager, Technology Communities – Asia at SEMI, where he leads and supports the strategic activities of SEMI Technology Communities and Smart Initiatives (such as Smart Manufacturing, Smart Data-AI, and Smart MedTech) across Asia, driving collaboration and innovation across the semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. 

With over 25 years of diverse experience in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry, BK has held roles spanning semiconductor assembly, PCB assembly, advanced substrate manufacturing, wafer bumping, and flexible hybrid electronics. His career journey includes impactful tenures in multinational corporations, small and medium enterprises, and research institutes across Singapore, Japan, and Malaysia. 

Prior to joining SEMI, BK was a Group Manager at A*STAR’s Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), where he was instrumental in shaping R&D strategies, managing intellectual property, and fostering industry partnerships. 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore, equipping him with a strong foundation in both technical and strategic domains.
