Dr. WEI-BIN LEE
CISO, Hon Hai Technology Group & CEO, Hon Hai Research Institute
Dr. Wei-Bin Lee received his Ph.D. from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, in 1997. Since 1999, he has been with the Department of Information Engineering at Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, where he currently holds the position of professor.
Currently, Dr. Lee serves as the CEO of the Hon Hai Research Institute and the Director of the Information Security Research Center. He is also the Chief Information Security Officer at Hon Hai (Foxconn) Technology Group, where he oversees the advancement of scientific research and leads the Group's cybersecurity strategy and governance framework.
Before joining Hon Hai (Foxconn) Technology Group, Dr. Lee held several notable positions, including Commissioner of the Information Technology Department of Taipei City Government, Chief Digital Officer at Taipei Fubon Bank, Chief Innovation Officer at Fubon Financial Holdings, and Chief Information Officer at Feng Chia University. Additionally, he has been a visiting professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States and the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Dr. Lee's research interests encompass IT/OT security, cryptography, AI for security, security in AI, and information security governance. Dr. Lee's expertise, leadership roles, and extensive experience across academic, governmental, and corporate sectors underscore his ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge, practice, and innovation in the fields of cybersecurity and information technology.
