Empowering Intelligent Robotics with Integrated Compute, Perception, and Connectivity
Intelligent robots depend on the seamless integration of compute, perception, and connectivity to perceive, decide, and act in the physical world. As robotic applications expand from industrial automation to healthcare, smart homes, and autonomous mobile robots, the demand for high-performance, energy-efficient, and highly integrated edge computing platforms continues to grow rapidly.
This talk introduces the key technology pillars that empower modern intelligent robotics. We begin with heterogeneous computing, where CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs work in concert to execute diverse workloads, enabling real-time AI inference under stringent power and latency constraints. We then highlight multimedia technologies—including computer vision, image signal processing (ISP), and audio processing—that enable robust environmental perception and human-machine interaction. Finally, we examine how connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G enable communication among robots, edge devices, and the cloud, supporting collaborative intelligence and remote operation.
