Mr. 柯宇軒

Stephen Coates is the Founder and Principal Consultant of YuXuan Semiconductor Consulting Limited, a Taiwan-based advisory company focused on semiconductor manufacturing execution, commercialization, supplier strategy and ecosystem development. 

Stephen brings 37 years of global semiconductor experience across Asia, North America and Europe. He has held senior leadership roles at GaN Systems and Infineon, serving as VP Global Operations and GM Asia at GaN Systems before later leading foundry sourcing for Infineon Taiwan. He also played an instrumental role in the $823 million acquisition of GaN Systems by Infineon. 

His career has centred on turning advanced technology into manufacturable, scalable production. He has built and managed global supply chains, launched fabless and backend ecosystems across Asia, qualified foundry, OSAT and test partners, and supported products from concept, NPI and qualification through to high-volume manufacturing. 

Stephen has 30 years of experience across compound LEDs, power, RF and photonics, alongside broader technical and commercial experience spanning GaN, SiC, silicon-based power devices, advanced and mature-node silicon, backend assembly and test, packaging, reliability, operations and supply-chain development. He is also a holder of 8 patents covering device, packaging and product innovation. 

Through YuXuan Semi, Stephen supports startups, scale-ups and established semiconductor companies that need practical guidance across strategy, execution, customer readiness and manufacturing scale. His work is grounded in real-world operating experience and focused on helping companies build resilient global semiconductor ecosystems.
